Modo Yoga St. Catharines!! A place so very special to me. I've been a member here for about 3 years now and can honestly say that this place and this practice of yoga has changed my life in such a wonderful way. Aside from it being an amazing workout and body detox, I think what I treasure most about it is the clarity and calm it brings to me, particularly important during times like these.
I've been working with the studio for about a year now providing branding photography and thought that now is as great as time as ever to introduce you to this company if you've never heard of them and give you a peak inside their beautiful space. There's definitely been some changes to the space since I've last photographed it and I'm really looking forward to capturing those changes soon, just as soon as the world is back up and running again.
You can find this gem over on Glendridge in St. Catharines. When you walk in, you'll be greeted immediately by the kindest staff and in the most calming and welcoming environment that is the lobby. There's tea, places to sit and chat, an overall welcoming community environment. Down the hall there are two spacious hot rooms/studios where a variety of classes are offered. Various yoga practices, the modo series, flow, yin, power flow as well as some fitness classes. And they also have a few other things up their sleeves coming really soon.
I think a common misconception about yoga is that in order to start it, you need to have some kind of background experience with yoga. I can tell you first hand this is false. Out of shape me dragged myself into yoga about 5 years ago now with no knowledge or experience and although I was a little wobbly (and still am) I was able to keep up just fine. That's why it's a class. So don't be afraid to give it a try once we're all able to get back in public spaces. We can all use as much calm and peace as we can get in these uncertain times. Modo Yoga truly is "a place for all".
