I love a couple who are not afraid to do things their own way! And I'm pretty sure I've said those words before here.
Kyra and Micheal wanted to elope. Kyra and Michael also wanted to have a big wedding with all of their friends and family. So, they did both. I met them on an insanely hot day in St. Catharines last year and they got married at our beautiful City Hall surrounded by a select few. Here's a peek at that if you're interested. And then, I met them again this year on a very cold day in January where they had their bigger wedding at the stunning Doctor's House in Kleinburg, ON, Best of both worlds, and Yay me for two weddings with these two.
It was also important to them to be present for their wedding, and not spend their day in a "photo shoot". And for the most part, we did that too. We probably spent less than an hour doing the whole "formal" portraits thing, well as "formal" as this informal photographer gets. I spent most of the day just documenting what was really happening, the gorgeous details, the relationships, the way the brides mom looked at her as she got ready, the you tubing how to tie a tie that every single groom does, the genuine fun and laughter, the "lit" dance floor, and simply the way these to look at each other.
Congratulations to this amazing, genuine, double married couple xo.
