It's fair to say that weddings have been a little slow for me this year. Nicole and Alex are actually my only couple since the covid hit that did not push their wedding date to next year...in fact they actually bumped their date up by a couple of months. And sure, things were a little different, but only a little. These two certainly did face many challenges in planning during a pandemic, including social gathering restrictions being changed by the government literally hours before they walked down the isle. But, they adjusted, went with the flow just as they have been for months and made it work. Because they love each other and just want to be married, and that they are my friends. And their wedding was still so incredibly beautiful with an intimate back yard ceremony with a gorgeous dinner reception following. I think my favourite little detail about the covid wedding was the individual charcuterie boxes made with love for each guest for the cocktail hour....both adorable and covid friendly. I also loved that Nicole spent her morning in her bridal suite getting ready with just her immediate family as they ended up downsizing the wedding party (we still included the OG wedding party for some photos of course). Ok maybe those sweet details come second, my first would be the way this couple gracefully did not allow anything or anyone get in the way of them celebrating their love for each other.
Congratulations Nicole & Alex xo
