You know how little kids change and grow so quickly right? If you think that stops or levels out during the teen and tween years, you're totally wrong-o! There's such a huge transition happening in these years and in your images, you can still glimpse the child that they were, yet also see the adult that they're becoming. It's SO cool!
And let's be honest, your teens probably aren't begging you for a family photography session. So, even if they don't totally want to be there, it's absolutely fine, I get it. Im a veteran teen mom at this point and I know they can be a bit reluctant on most things. But, in my experience with my kids and our photo sessions and with my family clients with this age group, I know that once you just go ahead and book it, everyone ends up having a good time (or at least not the worst time), and everyone ends up appreciating the images of your family memories and all of your personalities. And just like any other family portrait at any stage, they only become more treasured with time.
This family here, I saw in 2019 and then again just last week. So, 3.5 years and let me tell you...these kids are like whole new people now. And on top of that, they have a furry new family member. And that's a whole other post about how much I love including your family pets in your sessions. As long as they're nice like this sweet girl here.
